McCalls 7332 – The Boyfriend Jacket

Posted on by 6 comments

Hello all,

Our weather has been teasing us with some above freezing temperatures and rain instead of snow for the last couple of weeks.  In the hopes that we are looking at winter in the rear view mirror, I am turning my sewing attention to lighter weight layers.  One thing in particular that I need to add are jackets for spring.

A few hours of this weekend were spent making a start on that goal with McCalls 7332. I bought the pattern a few weeks ago along with some lightweight navy wool from my local Fabricland.  Here is the picture from the pattern envelope:

Style Arc Italia Shirtdress – The Finished Dress

Hello all,

I was hoping to take some pictures outside now that the weather is starting to warm up but it is quite dreary and rainy here today.  That is not a complaint, mind you.  This time last year we still had quite a bit of snow on the ground to the extent that you could not see the pool in the backyard.  Today however, there is no snow, and the water that has accumulated on top of the pool’s winter cover is completely fluid.  Usually, it is iced over until early April.  We have had mild winters like this before but they are a rare event indeed.

Style Arc Italia Shirtdress – Some Progress

Hello all,

I have been working on the Style Arc Italia Shirtdress over the last day or two and I think it’s going well.  The pattern was a download off the Style Arc Etsy site which is a great option for those of us on the other side of the world.  The tradeoff of not having to wait for the mail of course, is all that matching and taping of the printed sheets.  No matter… instant gratification wins every time.

Here is the coverpage:
