Savage Coco Patterns – Presto Popover Top

Hello all and Happy New Year!

I hope that 2016 is off to a great start for everyone.  It is hard to believe that we are mid month already.

My sewing buddies have been flashing many wonderful iterations of the Presto Popover Top, and not wanting to be left out, I bought the pattern…two months ago.  I printed it, cut it out, found some lovely black jersey knit, laid all my pieces out, and that is where it stalled while I flew around in full on Holiday mode.

Now that things are back to normal I took the time (which was no time at all!) to sew it together.

This is a great new top for my wardrobe and the basic black will ensure plenty of options to slip it into different outfits.  I will make this one again soon in a jewel tone and there is absolutely going to be a white sleeveless version for the summer.

A shout out of thanks to Julie Starr for her great video showing the neck sewing treatment!  I daresay I would not have figured it out on my own.

Alas, my photography skills are sorely lacking and I think this will be my 2016 challenge.  Learning to take (and pose for) photos is something that needs some work.  Any tips you may have would be greatly appreciated.

Bye for now,
